| Dragon Ball begins with a small boy
named Son Goku fishing in the woods. On his way
back to his house, he bumps into a girl in a car,
and starts attacking her to defend his fish. The
girl is surprised and explains to Goku that she
is Bulma and she doesn't care about his fish.
Goku hadn't seen a girl for a long time, and when
he realized that she was a girl, he invited her
to his house to see his 'grandpa'. Bulma thinks
Goku's tail is fake, and doesn't realize that
it's real until she tries to take it off when
giving him a bath. They arrive
at his house and Bulma sees what Goku is
referring to as his 'grandpa' is actually the 4
star Dragon Ball (Suu-shin-chu). Goku had turned
into an Oozaru and killed his adopted grandfather
when he was smaller, and beleived that the Dragon
Ball the old man owned now contained his spirit.
Bulma shows Goku that she has two Dragon Balls,
one with 2 stars and another with 5 stars. She
explains how she found one in her attic and found
out about them, and she was now looking for them
as it was her summer holiday. She also explains
that if she finds all 7, she will ask the dragon
for a boyfriend. Goku does not want to give her
his Dragon Ball because he doesn't beleive she
will give it back, so he decides to go with her.
He doesn't know that the Dragon Balls will turn
to stone and be scattered over the world when a
wish is made.
They
set out on their journey the next day, and soon
come across a turtle who has wandered far from
the sea. Goku agrees to help it find the coast.
Even though Bulma protests, she goes along anyway
as Goku has the Dragon Ball. When they reach the
sea, An old man, who turns out to be Muten Roshi,
arrives. He thanks Goku for returning his turtle
and gives him a reward of a flying cloud called
Kintoun (aka Nimbus). He says that only the pure
in heart can ride it, and for some reason it is
no use to him anymore. Goku gets on easily, but
when Bulma tries she can't stay on. Bulma also
wants a reward, but the turtle says she didn't
help. Bulma notices Muten Roshi is wearing a
Dragon Ball on a chain around his neck and shows
him her panties in return for it. Muten Roshi
immediately agrees when he finds out Bulma isn't
wearing any panties (Goku had removed them the
night before when he tried to sleep on her thigh
like he did with his grandpa and realised girls
didn't have balls). Now we know why Roshi and
Bulma couldn't ride Kintoun. They now receive the
3 star Dragon Ball too.
Next
they came across a village which was being
terrorised by someone called Oolong who was
stealing all the girls. Bulma says if they give
her a Dragon Ball they will catch Oolong. They
manage to reveal Oolong is just a shape shifting
little pig and they take him with them as they
think he will be useful. While going through the
wastelands, they meet Yamcha and his sidekick
Puar, who over hear about the Dragon Balls and
repeatedly try to steal them so Yamcha could wish
not to be afraid of girls. However that plain
fails as Yamcha is scared off by Bulma, so they
just decide to go with them until they have all 7
and think of a way to steal them then.
Next
they arrive at Mt. Frying Pan where Gyuu Maou,
the Ox King, lives. Gyuu Maou explains that his
castle is on fire, so Goku goes on his Kintoun to
find Muten Roshi to put the fire out, and to find
Gyuu Maou's daughter, Chi Chi and take her back.
When he returns, Roshi puts the fire out with a
Kamehameha, a move taking him 50 years to perfect
and which Goku mastered in seconds, but
unfortunately also destroys the castle. Goku is
rewarded a Dragon Ball, and now they have all but
one. They continue their journey and save a
village from the Usagi Dan (rabbit gang) by
sending them to the moon.
They
next travel towards Pilaf's castle. Pilaf wants
to get the Dragon Balls so he could rule the
world, but his henchmen Shuu and Mai had
repeatedly failed to take them from Goku and his
friends. Some of Pilaf's robbers manage to steal
the Dragon Balls and put Goku, Bulma, Oolong,
Yamcha and Puar in a trap. Pilaf now has all the
Dragon Balls. Goku does a Kamehameha and blasts a
hole through the wall and Oolong runs out and
wishes for a pair of panties before Pilaf can say
anything. The dragon Shenron leaves and the
Dragon Balls also fly away. Pilaf is very angry
so he puts the DB gang in a room with a glass
ceiling, so they would be roasted by the sun, but
it is night time, and when Goku sees the full
moon he turns into an Oozaru and breaks free of
the room destroying Pilaf's castle in the
process.
They
manage to cut Goku's tail off, and Bulma, Yamcha,
Oolong and Puar return to the city. Bulma and
Yamcha are boyfriend and girlfriend, so both
their wishes came true even though they didn't
use the Dragon Balls. Goku decides to go to Muten
Roshi and ask him to train him.
