 Namekians
are from the Planet Namek. They have green skin,
super hearing and can change their eye color.
Namekians don't need to eat, they just drink
water. They are not male or female, and reproduce
by spitting eggs out of their mouths. When they
are born, they are either for fighting or
healing. They have three fingers and one thumb on
each hand.
The Namekians are the creators of
Dragon Balls and the Dragons. A planet needs to
have a Namekian as a guardian in order for the
Dragon Balls to work. If the guardian dies
without passing on their power, the Dragon Balls
will be forever turned to stone. During the Cell
saga, Dende becomes the next guardian of the
Earth and the new Dragon Balls are improved.
The first Planet Namek suffered a
drought and the only survivor was the Great Elder
who gave birth to everyone else. After that
planet was destroyed and the Elder died, the
Namekians moved to a new Planet Namek.
