Dubbed Title: The Dead Zone
This movie is set during the time
between DB and DBZ.
Gohan is sitting outside and
studying from a large book. Chi Chi is in the
house and Goku is out fishing. Gyuu Maou
approaches the house carrying a huge pile of
presents. Chi Chi goes outside as Gohan greets
his grandpa. Suddenly, Gyuu Maou falls to the
ground and there is a hooded creature standing
behind him. The creature says that he is after
the Dragon Ball on Gohan's hat. Chi Chi tries to
defend her son, but she is also beaten up as more
minions appear and Gohan is kidnapped and taken
away. Goku returns later on to find Chi Chi and
Gyuu Maou injured outside his house and learns
that Gohan is missing. He sets out to look for
him straight away.
The hooded creature is sitting on a throne at his
castle and turns out to be Garlic Jr. Gohan is
playing in the castle and sees one of Garlic Jr's
minons eat some fruit. Gohan also tries one, but
it turns out to be an alcoholic apple and makes
him drunk. He dances around for a while and goes
to sleep on Garlic Jr's throne. Garlic Jr. has
collected all the Dragon Balls and wishes himself
immortal.
Goku arrives at the castle and soon after Kami
also arrives. Kami says that Garlic Jr. is doing
this because Kami beat his father Garlic to the
throne of Guardian of Earth and Garlic was sealed
away for ever in the Dead Zone. Goku goes off to
look for Gohan and gets into a fight with three
minions. They begin to overpower him but luckily
Krillin and Piccolo arrive at the scene. Kami
fights with Garlic Jr. while Krillin goes after
Gohan, and Goku and Piccolo defeat the rest of
the minions. Garlic Jr. becomes enraged and
transforms into a monster and opens a portal to
the Dead Zone.
The Dead Zone starts sucking everything in and
Goku, Krillin and Piccolo are doing their best
not to be pulled in and holding on to anything
they can. Gohan emerges from behind some stones
looking furious. He emits a large amount of power
as he walks towards Garlic Jr. Garlic Jr. is
pushed back by the energy and falls into the Dead
Zone, sealing the portal. Piccolo leaves saying
he is too tired to fight against Goku now.
Krillin also leaves and Goku takes Gohan home. As
they fly away, he tells him that they will wait
until he is older before they tell Chi Chi what
happened.
